Meet Our Providers
Our medical staff consists of board-certified General Practitioners, Physician Assistants, and Dentists whose interests reach beyond general health services.

Physicians
Joseph M. Devlin (York) has been with Family First Health since 1998.  Dr. Devlin received a Bachelors of Science from Penn State University and earned his M.D. from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, PA.  Dr. Devlin also completed a residency in family practice at York Hospital.

Asceline Go (York and Hannah Penn) has been with Family First Health since 1999.  She earned her Bachelors of Science in zoology from the University of the Philippines, and received her M.D. from St. Louis University.  Dr. Go specializes in family medicine.  Dr. Go also speaks Chinese, Tagalog and a little Spanish.

Alina Popa (York) earned her M.D. from Carol Davila Medicine and Pharmacy University in Bucharest, Romania in 1999.  She specializes in infectious diseases and completed a residency in intermal medicine at St. Joseph Hospital in Chicago, IL, in 2003.  She is board certified in internal medicine and is pending certification in infectious diseases.  Dr. Popa is a member of the American Medical Association and the Infectious Disease Society of America, and has a special interest in the treatment of HIV/AIDS and emerging infectious diseases.  In addition to her native Romanian, she is fluent in English and also speaks Spanish.
James Sioma, (Lewisberry and George Street) graduated from Eastern University in St. David’s, PA, with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and earned his Masters of Science in Biology at Drexel University in Philadelphia.  Dr. Sioma received his Doctorate of Osteopathy from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.  He is board certified in both family practice and geriatrics and is a member of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians, the American Osteopathic Association, and the Pennsylvania Osteopathic Medical Association.  Dr. Sioma has over 20 years of experience in a variety of private and corporate health care practices.

Thomas Stein, Jr. (Hanover) earned his M.D. at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska.  Dr. Stein completed his family practice residency in 2004 at Harrisburg Hospital and is certified with the American Board of Family Medicine.  Dr. Stein joined Family First Health in 2006 and is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Family Practice, and the Pennsylvania Medical Society.

Junia Tiruchelvam (Hannah Penn) has been practicing medicine for 30 years.  After finishing her medical education in Sri Lanka and doing an internship there, she completed a residency program in London, England.  Dr. Tiruchelvam came to the U.S. to practice medicine here in 1983 and did a family practice residency at York Hospital.  She specializes in family medicine.  Dr. Tiruchelvam has traveled and worked in medical missions in foreign countries.  She is involved with Heifer Project International, an organization which promotes better lives for communities by caring and sharing resources.  Dr. Tiru joined the staff of Family First Health in 2004.


Family First Health receives grant support from the United States Department of Health and Human Services, the United Way of York County, the Pennsylvania Department of Health, the York County Community Development Department, the York City Bureau of Health, and the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency.
